The Deutsche ACCUMOTIVE GmbH & Co. KG is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Daimler AG Group and pursues the objective of implementing automotive electrification with its powerful, reliable, and competitive li-ion battery technology. Its headquarters are in Kirchheim unter Teck while mass production is located in Kamenz.


Competences and Primary Activities:
• Development and production of battery systems tailored to the specific needs and requirements of the automotive sector with regard to safety and the environment, performance, robustness, life time, and cost
• By founding ACCUMOTIVE, the Daimler AG has become one of the world‘s few automobile manufacturers to develop batteries for automotive applications and has been producing them in Germany since 2012
• The corporate vision to become one of the leading suppliers of high voltage batteries is based on extensive competences, many years of experience, and an international network focusing on the development of lithium-ion batteries



The philosophy: Investment into the powertrain of the future. The energy storage is the heart of the vehicle electrification. Electrical vehicle drives need battery systems, which correspond to the specific requirements of the automobile sector regarding security and environment, power, robustness, life cycle as well as costs.
