A lot of comprehensive and long-term competences in the field of thermal energy storage can be offered. In more details this covers:
• Design and optimization of storage concepts with regard to steady state as well as dynamic load profiles, system characteristics, and economic boundary conditions
• Detailed modelling and simulation of storage charging/discharging
• Experimental study, measurments and analyses of storage behaviour using fiber-optic thermometry
• Optimization of operation and unit commitment of heat generators (with and without CHP) and chillers with special regard to thermal energy storages
• Large storages as components in block and district heating systems including pressure maintenance
• Small storages in plants and building energy systems as well as chilled water storages
• Domestic hot water hygiene in the context of DHW storages.
