The Plauener Seidenweberei represents experiences in silk, silk mixtures & fabric since more than 75 years. The Plauener Seidenweberei means production on the highest technical level as well. Plauener Seidenweberei GmbH has been manufacturing technical textiles since the 1930s; starting with parachute silk and, as of 1950, the classic black silk typewriter ribbon. Apart from technical silk fabrics, flat and tubular woven fabrics are produced, for instance, from polyamide, polyester, aramid and carbon today. The final touch is added to the Seidenweberei fabrics by special finishes, for instant, stain and oil proofing, antibacterial specification, low flammability or antistatic properties.
