A main focus of PHACON is the development und creation of surgical simulation systems for education and training of surgeons. Due to the application of the real surgical instrument during the simulation, the surgeon has a realistic haptic. The patented technology of objective injuring detection of structures at risk is a platform technology which can be implemented in anatomical models of different surgical fields. Therefore, based on the first simulation system for otosurgery, systems for other surgical interventions can be developed contemporary (sinus surgery, neurosurgery, heartsurgery etc.).

Furthermore, PHACON creates in collaboration with a surgical expert team patientindividual models for preoperative planning and for patient information.
