IAK AGRAR CONSULTING GMBH (IAK) developed from the merging of two independent consulting companies.

ACE AGRAR CONSULTING GMBH EINBECK was established in 1968 with a focus on consultancy services in the seed sector in the initial years. Since the early 80ties ACE has widened its scope of financial and technical services for international development projects and has delivered consultancy services in the agricultural and related sectors, in aid coordination, but also in SME development, trade promotion and other sectors related to integrated rural development.

INTERAGRARKOOPERATION GMBH (IAK) was established in 1981 in Leipzig. First of all, priority was put on financial and technical co-operation with developing countries. In 1990 a commercially based agricultural consulting service was established. IAK could gain special know-how referring to privatisation services, financial and investment planning as well as management assistance. In the frame of international technical and financial cooperation, IAK had specialized in rural development and natural resource protection.

In 2001 the two companies merged with the objective of using the existing know-how, regional experiences and personnel resources more efficiently. This way, practical experience gained in the private sector, was combined with consultancy experiences and competence based in policy and institutional support to be used in our customers' most beneficial interest.
